About the founders

Research One Pty Ltd and ConnectLaw Pty Ltd founded Legal Research Training International in 2008. As well as providing training, each company still operates independently in their respective fields.

Research One Pty Ltd

Research One provides legal analysis, research, and writing services to lawyers worldwide.

Established in 2002, Research One employs a new kind of legal professional: the full-time legal researcher who specializes in legal analysis, research, and writing. The result is a new approach to law that combines the analytic rigor of the academic lawyer with the practicing lawyer’s focus on results.

Research One has won multiple business awards, including the prestigious ACT Telstra Business of the Year, the National Micro-business of the Year, and ACT government awards.

ConnectLaw Pty Ltd

ConnectLaw provides online legal content, produced by and for the professional legal community.

ConnectLaw’s founder conceived ConnectLaw when he moved from Sydney, Australia to a small firm in country Victoria. He wanted to find a way to make quality online legal information more affordable and manageable.

ConnectLaw uses a new approach based on the Web 2.0 philosophies of communication, collaboration, and contribution. ConnectLaw provides the space, you supply the content. In this way, the profession decides the information to publish.
